ARIN registration checklist

Audience: Institutional counsel, network operations, Gov Web Portals maintainers

This checklist supports ARIN organization records and ASN/IPv4 procurement for five affiliated entities. Actual ARIN registration and resource requests require human action through ARIN Online and counsel-approved legal names and addresses.

Pre-submission (all entities)

  • Confirm counsel-approved legal organization name (matches suggested ARIN org name or documented variant).
  • Confirm parent Order affiliation text in organization description where applicable.
  • Prepare Org POC (Point of Contact) with ARIN Online account and validated email.
  • Prepare physical address and abuse/tech contacts per ARIN policy.
  • Copy primary and resource utilization statements from master doc or shared package.
  • Identify portal URL to publish after assignment (see table below).

Org Create tickets — 2026-06-04 batch (action by ARIN)

Four tickets In Progress — no operator action unless ARIN posts a comment. OrgId on ticket UI may show not applicable until closed.

OMNL — Colorado SOS cure (priority)

OMNL is the central bank / head-office operator. Colorado entity 20241534372 is in good standing with the Secretary of State (verified 2026-06-17).

  • Search Colorado SOS business search — ID 20241534372
  • Statement Curing Delinquency filed 2026-06-17 (doc 20261732494)
  • Good standing confirmed on SOS entity detail
  • Counsel WP-1 sign-off for MSB/correspondent transactability claims
  • File reinstatement / periodic report per SOS instructions (counsel-approved)
  • Obtain good-standing confirmation for evidence package (US-CO-OMNL matrix)
  • Update config/arin-entity-registry.v1.json → colorado.sosStatus: good_standing
  • Notify counsel WP-1 with SOS confirmation PDF

Post-assignment updates (maintainers)

When ARIN assigns an OrgId or new ASN/IPv4:

  1. Verify live WHOIS: https://whois.arin.net/rest/org/{ORGID}
  2. Update packages/shared/src/institutional-registry.ts → ARIN_ORG_IDS / status
  3. Update entity portal registry page (OrgId field + WHOIS link)
  4. Update DBIS/public/.well-known/trust.json → entities.*.arinOrgId and arinRegistrations
  5. Update DBIS/public/arin-registrations.json and config/arin-registrations.json
  6. Update proxmox config/arin-entity-registry.v1.json
  7. Update INSTITUTIONAL_REGISTRY_MASTER.md registry table (§10)
  8. Run pnpm arin:validate-entities (proxmox)

ARIN Online workflow (summary)

  1. Sign in to ARIN Online.
  2. Organizations → Request or update organization record.
  3. Paste counsel-approved organization description (primary statement from master doc).
  4. Complete resource utilization narrative if requested in ticket or justification fields.
  5. ASN request — per entity under correct OrgId; attach routing/peering plan.
  6. IPv4 request — justify production FQDNs (see proxmox runbook § Phase 3).
  7. Await ARIN review; respond to any ticket requests promptly.
  8. On approval, record OrgId/ASN/prefix and complete post-assignment updates above.

OMNL — existing ARIN record maintenance

  • Confirm LEI 98450070C57395F6B906 remains active on GLEIF.
  • Confirm ARIN OrgId OMNL WHOIS matches published portal snapshot (DBIS/cb/omnl).
  • Cure Colorado SOS delinquency (see above) — blocks banking transactability claims
  • Optionally add parent Order affiliation to ARIN org description via ARIN ticket (counsel approval).
